These goods are classified in Class 20 based on the wording "certain dispensing apparatus, not of metal, automatic or non-automatic, for example, towel dispensers, queue ticket dispensers, dispensers for dog waste bags, toilet paper dispensers," in the Class 20 Nice Explanatory Note. Generally, under Nice 12-2023, dispensers are considered storage containers for holding items and dispensing them, as needed. They are classified in Class 6 when made of metal and in Class 20 when they are not made of metal, regardless of whether the dispensers are fixed or un-fixed, automatic or non-automatic.
