10-13-2016 - Handkerchiefs of textile are classified in Class 24 because that wording appears in the Nice Alphabetical List in Class 24. Textile handkerchiefs are for personal use, such as wiping the face, nose, or eyes, and they are distinguishable from pocket squares and kerchiefs in Class 25 that function as clothing. Note that paper handkerchiefs are classified in Class 16 per the Nice Alphabetical List similar to paper facial tissues.
