"Floats for bathing and swimming" is included in the Nice Alphabetical List in Class 28. These goods are swimming equipment that is used for training purposes or that has a purpose other than that of life or body protection. "Swim floats for safety purposes" are classified in Class 9 because they have a specific safety function and are used for life or body protection. 11-1-2018 – Under Nice 10-2015, the Nice Alphabetical List term, "water wings /floats for bathing and swimming" in Class 28, was changed to "water wings." The term "floats for bathing and swimming" no longer appears in the Nice Alphabetical List. Nonetheless, this wording is definite and classified in Class 28 because the goods are analogous to water wings.
