Cooperative advertising services by itself would be acceptable. But marketing services can reasonably refer to a retail-type activity. In the context of the language of this ID, marketing refers to promoting or advertising the goods and services of others. While a retail service would also be in Class 35, the nature and purpose of that type of service is very different from an advertising type of service. 1-1-2012 "Marketing services" was added to the Manual as a separate entry pursuant to the 10th Edition of the Nice Agreement. When listed by itself, an identification for "marketing" should include the term "services." This entry refers to the promoting of the goods and services of others.
