Pursuant to Nice 11-2021, the Class 41 Nice Explanatory Note requires classification of arranging and conducting of conferences, congresses and symposiums in Class 41, regardless of the subject matter or overall purpose of the service activity. Identifications for arranging and conducting of business conferences must indicate the field or subject matter of the educational activity in order to provide public notice and to enable the USPTO to reach informed judgments concerning likelihood of confusion under the Trademark Act. See TMEP §1402.01.
