On 10-6-2011, this 7-20-2004 entry was deleted because, although acceptable, it is too similar to an existing entry for "Providing facilities for fairs and exhibitions" On 06-27-2013, this 10-06-2011 entry was changed from "D" status to "A" status and modified by deleting "fair and exhibition facilities" and inserting "general purpose facilities for fairs and exhibitions" to make clear the nature of the services in Class 43 and provide classification guidance to Manual users. The facilities described in this entry may be used for a variety of purposes. Although services involving provision of general purpose facilities, such as convention centers and exhibition halls, are classified in Class 43, services involving provision of specialized facilities/facilities for a particular purpose are classified according to the intended purpose, e.g., providing facilities for business meetings in Class 35; and providing sports facilities in Class 41.
