07-20-2004 - The facilities referred to in this identification may be used for a broad range of conferences. Providing venues for business conferences only is a service in 35. 06-20-2013 - As previously noted, 'Provision of conference facilities' refers to provision of general purpose facilities, which may be used by the temporary occupants for a variety of events. Recitations of services involving general purpose facilities are not required to incorporate the exact words "general purpose facilities." However, the application and evidence of record must show use of the mark in connection with general purpose facilities and not in connection with specialized facilities/facilities intended for a particular purpose. Provision of specialized facilities/facilities for a particular purpose are classified according to the intended purpose, e.g., providing facilities for business meetings in Class 35, providing sports facilities in Class 41. 01-01-2021 - Pursuant to Nice 11-2021, the Class 41 Nice Explanatory Note requires classification of arranging and conducting of conferences, congresses and symposiums in Class 41, regardless of the subject matter or overall purpose of the service activity. "Arranging and conducting of business conferences in the field of {indicate, e.g., marketing, climate change, executive leadership, etc.}" is classified in Class 41.
