Tableware scoops are classified in Class 21 as household or kitchen utensils. Tableware scoops and serving scoops are different from hand-operated scooping tools in Class 8, which are generally used to transfer unspecified amounts of bulk materials, such as sugar or rice, from a bag to a container, for example. For classification purposes, the key distinction for scoops in Class 8 and scoops in Class 21 is whether the scoops are for transferring unspecified amounts of materials or foods, or for serving or portioning materials foods. On 01-01-2017, this 03-05-2015 entry was deleted as overbroad in compliance with Nice 11-2017.
