Key chains are comprised of split rings with decorative fobs or trinkets sold as a unit. Under Nice 11-2017, key chains and key rings are classified in Class 14 regardless of material composition. However, specification of the material composition of key chains and key rings may be required during examination of marks that refer to material composition. See TMEP Section 1203.02(f)(i) for further information. 11-2017 Key chains is acceptable wording; further specification is acceptable, but it is not required.
