06-20-2013 - Although services involving provision of general purpose facilities, such as convention centers and exhibition halls, are classified in Class 43, services involving provision of specialized facilities/facilities for a particular purpose are classified according to the intended purpose. In this case, sports tournaments serve an entertainment or recreational purpose. Therefore, providing facilities for sports tournaments is classified in Class 41. Applicants may specify the type of sports being played, but it is not required.
