A domain name registrar is an entity through which domain names may be registered, and which is responsible for keeping website contact information records and submitting technical information to a central directory. Registrars are accredited by ICANN. Registrars are distinguishable from re-sellers, who may provide domain name registration services under authorization from registrars, but are not themselves ICANN-accredited registrars. Domain name registration services is acceptable wording in Class 45 for any entity or person that provides such services.
